1. Inappropriate footwear – remember the heat may make your feet swell, especially when travelling. Ensure you have appropriate and supportive footwear.
2. Lifting/carrying heavy luggage – you may be lucky and have an airline that has a heavier luggage limit but, be careful lifting and moving heavy luggage could lead to very serious back injuries.
3. Sitting on a train/coach/plane – prolonged sitting whilst travelling can cause back and knee pain. Where possible get up and move around for short periods.
4. Increased activity – you may be on your relaxing holiday but if you are doing something adventurous be aware of the pressure it could add to your body.
5. Sunscreen – an obvious tip but one to always remind yourself of.
6. Hydration – drink plenty of water to maintain all over body health.
